Senior Creative Content Manager

Intro

Press Box PR, a fast-growing PR agency, is hiring a Senior Creative Content Manager to lead the business’ creative services function, responsible for the ideation and creation of best in class research, data and survey content that’s loved by publishers globally and supports multi-channel PR for our portfolio of industry-leading betting, gaming and sport adjacent clients. 

The role

Reporting into the Managing Director (Sport), you will work collaboratively to own the creative content process with senior stakeholders in the business to accelerate the agency’s non-talent content output by building on a successful foundation laid to date. 

Your work will be for both our existing client roster as well as new pitches, with the successful candidate responsible for developing engaging creative content campaigns leveraging global trending topics in news, sport, entertainment, politics and popular culture, all with the ambition to drive SEO performance, brand awareness and share of voice for our clients.  

Current and previous experience of creative digital PR content strategies, ideation and execution is essential, working collaboratively to supply our in-house media relations team responsible for outreach with the biggest and best content output.  

A keen eye for the news domestically and globally is also vital - from Trump’s trade tariffs to the price of a pint of Guinness - all in the pursuit of leveraging trending news to create insightful commentary, analysis and data stories that feeds demand with top tier publishers in the UK and worldwide. 

You will be an expert content strategist who understands how to tap into research, data, surveys and similar tactics to generate earned links at scale for our client mix.  

You will have a creative flair and knowledge of how to shape campaigns and content that perform on multiple channels but with a digital-first mindset. 

You will understand how to collaborate with and deliver for multiple stakeholders including clients, publishers, contributors and internal teams.

Experience working collaboratively with external teams to optimise content provision will also be essential, including data scientists, survey suppliers as well as knowledge of tools and resources to bolster the validity, variety and accuracy of research-led content.  

Candidates who have delivered PR for SEO campaigns with brands in digital PR agencies are of particular interest. The role may also suit an ambitious trends writer or similar from journalism who has experience working on campaigns leveraging trending news in the pursuit of SEO performance. 

Requirements

  • Extensive creative content campaign experience, from ideation through to delivery of a suite of newsworthy assets for outreach (including but not limited to press releases, indexes and infographics) 
  • Extensive knowledge of data and creative research tools and resources that can be harnessed to produce best in class editorial 
  • Extensive understanding of how digital PR works and the role data and research-led commentary plays to drive earned links with publishers globally
  • Experience of collaborative team leadership, especially of remote contributors 
  • Desire to lend creative expertise to new business and sales pitches 
  • Varied interest in all sports (especially beyond football) as well the wider news, consumer and popular culture leading to proven success of earning coverage 
  • Comfortable working with senior external stakeholders client-side as well as the agency’s leadership teams

Salary, benefits and perks

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Press Box PR operates an office-first hybrid model based on an average of three days a week in our Barbican office.

In addition, the successful candidate’s duties will include some work during evenings and weekends as dictated by time zones and major event schedules.
