OLBG - EURO 2024 video project
Brief
Build a project ahead of EURO 2024 that appeals to OLBG's core football fan audience that will engage people on social channels, deliver backlinks at scale in the media and put the brand front and centre of the build-up.
Strategy
Press Box PR took on the ambitious task of creating a EURO 2024 video calendar - interviewing 24 former players from the 24 nations in the tournament. The company and client took a collaborative approach to agreeing on using stars of the past from England's Stuart Pearce to Italy's Massimo Ambrosini. The Press Box PR team then sat down with each player to discuss their country's chance over the summer as well as asking about more topical subjects that appeal to the media. These video calls were then edited into sharp, fast paced social clips to use across Reels and TikTok, uniformed in the identity and style of a former Panini sticker album with players wearing classic national shirts. The quotations were used to push OLBG's brand into the media to earn backlinks.
Results
Press Box PR delivered more than 240 backlinks from the quotes obtained from the 24 interviews. The social media videos received more than six million impressions, including 180,000 interactions across posts.
